Residential garbage, recyclable, and yard waste collection is every Tuesday.
From May 1 through September 30, garbage is also collected on Fridays in addition to the regular Tuesday pickup. Have your garbage out to the curb by 7:00 a.m.
Garbage should be tied, clear bags only.

A recycle bin is provided for recyclables (glass, cans, plastic, etc). Should you move, leave the bin for the next homeowner/occupant. If you do not have a bin, contact the Public Works Department at (920) 459-3881.

Cardboard, newspapers, and magazines should be bundled or put in paper bags next to your recycling bin.

Grass/yard waste should be in containers, no bags. Pile or bundle brush neatly in 4 foot lengths. Leaves can be raked into the curb, these are picked up October through Thanksgiving.
Call the Public Works Department for special pickup requests at (920) 459-3881.
It is a requirement of the Village of Kohler as per a storm water permit with the DNR to educate the public on illicit discharges to the storm water system. An illicit discharge would be the dumping of any chemical, pet waste, or hazardous substance into the street or a storm basin inlet. The substance would eventually make its way into the Sheboygan River causing a pollution hazard.
To report an illicit discharge, please call the Public Works Department at
(920) 459-3881.
